Peace family,
These Moroccan spice wings are bold, flavorful, and mighty. They pack a punch without being overwhelmingly spicy. The Moroccan blend is full of warm seasonings and spices that you will absolutely love. You’re going to have to dig deep into your spice cabinet for this one. That’s a good thing though. We don’t do unseasoned food here!
These wings are game day ready! Move over buffalo wings. Okay, I actually adore buffalo wings, but sometimes you just need something a little different to shake things up. The best part is that they are super easy to make. This is an air fryer recipe, but you can always cook your wings using your favorite, traditional, tried and true method, and then toss them in my Moroccan spice blend. It’s absolutely delicious. Let’s get into some details, shall we?
What Ingredients Do I Need to Make Moroccan Spice Wings?
- Chicken Wings – frozen wings are totally okay here, and actually what I used.
- Avocado Oil Spray – specifically the spray version for lightly spraying the wings in the air fryer. You can always substitute with your oil of choice, but make sure that you specifically use a high heat oil to prevent the chicken skin from burning in the air fryer.
- Avocado Oil – for toasting the seasonings
- Lime – the juice of one lime is all you need. It sets everything off.
Ingredients for Moroccan Spice Blend

I use the following to make the Moroccan spice blend:
- Salt
- Cardamom
- Ground Clove
- Turmeric
- Ground Ginger Powder
- Allspice
- Cinnamon
- Cumin
- Black Pepper
- Red Pepper Flakes
Are Moroccan Wings Keto-Friendly?
This recipe is absolutely keto friendly and low-carb at just net grams of carbs per serving. These wings are also gluten-free and Whole30 compliant.
Instructions
Begin by placing the wings into the air fryer, ensuring that you do not overcrowd the air frying basket. Cook in batches, if necessary. Spray the wings with a bit of avocado oil spray.

Set the air fryer to 400° F for 30 minutes. Allow the wings to cook, stopping halfway through (15 minute mark) to flip them and give them another spray of avocado oil. This will ensure even cooking, crisping, and browning. The wings are done when they’ve reached an internal temperature of 165° F.
As the wings are cooking, begin mixing your seasonings to create the Moroccan spice. Place all of the seasonings into a small bowl, and use a whisk to combine.
Next, you’re going to gently toast the seasonings in avocado oil. Pour half a cup of avocado oil into a small saucepan. Gently heat the oil over medium heat and stir in the Moroccan spiced blend you just created. Whisk the spice blend in the oil as it heats, about 3-4 minutes. You don’t want the oil to get too hot, which will cause the seasonings to start to burn. The taste is very unpleasant. Remove the oil and seasoning blend from the heat and allow it to cool. Once it has cooled, add the juice of one lime to the blend and whisk well.
When the wings are done, remove them from the air fryer and place them into a mixing bowl. Pour the Moroccan spice oil and seasoning blend over the wings and use tongs to toss the wings until they are evenly coated.

That’s it! Super simple and easy, as promised.
As usual, try it out and let me know what you think! When you make these wings, be sure to tag me on Instagram so that I can show off your creation. While you’re there, join the family! I would absolutely love to have you.
Peace,
Adri
